We have an Apple store in our mall where I checked one out a few days ago. I dunno - I still think I'd like on of those dual processor G4's instead with one of those wide screen flat monitors.

If I'm gonna dream it might as well be big.

having windows xp on my computer, it's a great operating system, depsite the recent discoveries of security holes. programs run more effiecently, the new ntfs hard drive management is superb, and i've barely had any problems with it.

once i'm out on my own, i plan on having four computers - two apples and two pcs. i'd use one apple for graphics creation, the other as a server (from what i've read, OSX server comes with the works). one pc would be my primary computer for normal needs (gaming, website browsing, etc.), and the other would be used to record and store my music.

This my new system I'm building tomorrow night I've decided to stick with Win2K Pro. I've had absolutely NO problems of any kind with it. No compatibility problems and very stable. I just don't see the reason to mess with WinXP right now, not to mention product activation and the such if you buy a "legit" version.

My wife loves her Apple iBook SE. It's still running OS9 and the only thing she really needs is MS Office 2000 for MAC (If anyone 'obtains' a copy... let me know! <VBG>) Very nice notebook. She has one of the last revisions before the "iLamp".
