Sad really, saw somebody drinking out of a jar and the first thing I think of is Squidly and his computer room, ok maybe not sad but laugh inducing.

I know there are some Evil Dead fans here, (Smart reference in a previous post), go pull out that original 1982 classic and check out the beginning with Scottie DRINKING OUT OF A JAR!!!! in the car....I bout fell out of my chair laughing. Never noticed it before and probably wouldnt have noticed it if it wasnt for Squidly's jars, ROFL.
Watched the flic again due to picking up the latest edition of the movie, the Book of the Dead edition, (how many versions are there now, I think I've been had buying another version, same content as the LD version, but the packaging is worth the price alone).
The Fan documentary on the disc is great, there are some real champs that get interviewed, the old Xena is downright disturbing.

Drinking out of a jar right now, ok not really,

Not quite a mason jar, but I just washed out a big ol' Planters peanuts jar to drink out of during my next Tribes-a-thon. The whole not having to refill as often thing is a big plus.

Only problem is that there's a roughly approximate tradeoff in trips to the WC... I suppose you could have a jar for THAT, too, but being an experienced jar drinker, I wouldn't recommend it...

My problem with jar drinking, in terms of the jar containing alcohol, is that as intoxication sets in, I find myself tipping too fast and spilling fluid out the corners of my mouth. I need a narrow opening. If I desired a wide opening, why not just fill up a swimming pool with (whatever) and try to tip THAT up to my mouth.

From an engineering standpoint, tapered olive jars work well for mixed drinks. Narrow mouth for swilling, and a wide bottom for anti-spilling. But then again I'm new to the jar drinking game.

As with most things, Jar Drinking (tm) gets easier with practice...
    The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.

I've got a cleaned-out mayonnaise jar waiting to go for when my computer gets back on track. Narrower mouth than most of my glasses, and that sucker can probably hold 2-3 cans of beer (or a helluvalotta tea, which I've been drinking more of than beer).
