    Just finished JK2 . . .

Man, what a game. It's probably the best FPS single player experience since Half-Life. For those of you who have yet to get it, do yourselves a favor and support your local software store.

Now I just have to figure out the multiplayer. I gave it a try the other day, and it was pretty intense. I was being victimized on a regular basis, though.

Heh... I beat you by 2 whole hours... I have to agree on your sentiment about it being the best FPS ever... I've found multiplayer to be MUCH easier now that I've mastered use of the saber through single player. I don't do well when people want to el cheapo things and lob rockets and such around; nor do I fare well in an area where a single force push or pull will launch you to oblivion. Otherwise, in a toe-to-toe saber fight, I'm pretty sure I can take most anyone willing to give it a whirl.

I've just visited Luke and regained my Jedi powers and light saber. Now I'm on Coruscant (I think) wiping out aliens in the bar. Very cool... although I find the switching from 1st person to 3rd person when I wield my light saber a bit annoying.

I hate when I shift to third person in real life.

Hylander hasn't purchased JK2 yet, but Hylander doesn't like being switched to third person either. Hylander is looking at purchasing Dungeon Siege tonight.

Psst . . . Dungeon Siege is just a Diablo clone with prettier graphics and even more redundant gameplay. Since I was never really interested in Diablo or Diablo 2, I'm not overly keen on this one, either, so I'm not sure whether I will get it or not.

You'll have a tube of toothpaste, and you'll like it.

For the uninitiated - the above refers to Squidly's stinginess as a DM when doling out the treasure.

You've fought your way through hordes of orcs and goblins, evaded treacherous traps and finally killed the powerful wizard only to find your rich reward is a used comb, a tube of toothpaste, pack of chewing gum and a ball of lint. :P

I'm almost exactly where you are in JK2, Bribo. I'm loving it so far. I played multiplayer into the wee hours last night, and did so-so. I suffer from the same weaknesses as Zorro--I get thrown into oblivion very easily and I don't dodge well. My lightsaber duel tactic is less refined--I just hold down the mouse button and wrench my Strategic Commander to and fro. The end result: my avatar whirls around in a way that resembles a raver with a glowstick. Once in a while, I even manage to pull off a cool-looking combo.

Have you tried playing the bots yet? Might be good practice for multi-player. So there is at least 4 of us playing JK2. Couple more and we have an Arena team.

My brother was playing a thief character in a game I was running. He was first or second level, and consequently wasn't able to "hit" any big powerful NPCs. The guys he opted to try simply weren't that "well heeled".

He was a Hobbit and ended up wanted for petty robbery in the town.
He eventually using the toothpaste as shaving gel to shave the hair off of his feet.
He then bought a fake beard and posed as a dwarf for awhile.

Hmm am I playing the right game? Black box with silvery blue lining. Seems ok but the blasters suck and are hard to aim. Does it get better? Can you kill all the stormtroopers on a level or do they keep replicating? Hmmm.
