Um, that uranium story turned out to be a bit of a mistake. There was just a few ounces of material and not 34 pounds. The suspects were actualy released due to lack of evidence and I don't recall if it was ever actualy determinded if the little smidgeons of material was actualy uranium, it may have just been lead but I could be wrong, not a lot of time today to try to track down the news storys.
Not trying to downplay just pointing out the truth of that uranium story.

They were caught in Turkey - and it was initially reported that they had about 20 pounds of uranium...4 days later they announced it was only about 4 ounces. Guess they have bad scales in TurkeyIf anything, that only goes to prove how hard it is to find this stuff on the black market.

Could be a seller's sample, but considering how they made it a media circus when they first caught the guys, I really doubt that was the case. They really looked like idiots when they had to let them go. I'm sure they investigated every possible lead before releasing those guys.
And as Widowmaker pointed out....it was questionable whether they even had Uranium. Although I don't know for sure how the tests panned out.
