    Then dismiss my views.

I don't realy care. I speak my views at the polls, where it matters. Sometimes the canidates and laws I like pass other times they don't.

And I do take a big offense at having my views labled as simplistic and that you could somehow fathom all of my reasons without knowing me. I did do a diservice to you by saying that my views were more complex than you could comprehend. For that I apolgize. For clarification I meant that I have more than just a shallow reason for my views and that because people do not share exact circumstances of life that it is hard to see the entire reason and without complete knowledge of the individual we can not grasp the full reasons of someone views without a better knowledge of that person. It came out badly in print though.

But so be it. When it comes down to it I am just here with this group to play video games and not to be a part of some political group.

Yes, Gaming is definetly what binds us all together.. its also the reason that I've come to this group.. and it is a great group, the best, that I've been in, by far.. Well DK comes close, but everyone that was there is pretty much here now..

Anyone see the Daily Show with Jon Stewart yesterday? That proves how dumb our president is.. the media at that speech were even laughing.. "If you fool me once.... Shame on.... Shame on me... ... ... Iffooleda fooled man can't be fooled again" thats pretty much what it came down to.. GREAT President indeed..

Heya. Well, Bush being an idiot isn't anything new. Well, only he knows why he wants a war, but my guess is that he's gonna try and have it during his 4th year, as everyone knows wars make presidents more popular, so he can get reelected.

Funny you should mention Microsoft though. I'm pretty sure Gates hates Bush just as much as you. I think hes moderate. As for the Nostradamus stuff, well, IMHO thats all a bull.

Oh, and Palooka: You said Bush had morality, honesty, and decency in spades. How so? He has morality, maybe- he sticks to his own morals- but he doesn't have honesty, and he lies like crazy, and I don't know what you mean by decent but I don't consider "not giving a darn about the enviroment" decent.

For what its worth I'm not a big fan of the current administration. I believe we (the US) are playing with fire, and if we aren't careful then a lot of people are going to burn. I do think that Bush handled post 9/11 events well. Could someone else have done as well or better? We'll never know.

That being said, I think US policy towards Iraq is a bit irrational. I do not understand why they have been singled out as the greatest threat to national security. Even if Iraq does posses weapons of mass destruction, they have no means (missles) to deliver them to the US. Israel? Sure. Europe? Probably. Here? Very doubtful. Of course such weapons can be smuggled in, but any group can do that. The anthrax in the mail was of a domestic vintage.

What happened to the other boogey man countries? Libya, Syria, Iran, North Korea, etc? Are the safe now? What makes them different then Iraq? Heck, the Taliban's closest ally was Pakistan before they Finlandised over to our side. If they didn't, would the Axis of Evil run thru threre? It seems like half of al Quadea is Saudi. If the Saudis are our friends, why is that?

It used to be said that the national security of Communist Russia was threatened by the national security of their neighbors such as Poland, Lithuania, etc. Thats why they took over half of Europe. Is our national security threated by the national security of other nations? If so, how are we different then the 'bad guy' Communists?

Iraq is not alone in ethnic violence. Both Iraq and Turkey have Kurdish populations. Is it ok for Turkey to supress theirs, but not for Iraq? What about the Tutse genocide in Rwanda? I don't see us taking over Rwanda. What about China and their occupation of Tibet? China has nuclear missles that could reach the US, but I don't see anyone saying China has to go. Latin America has pages of this type of activity, from a lot of governments that the US supported.

Do the Arabs get a say to what happens in their backyard? There are quite a few Arabs out there, and a lot more Muslims. Attacking Iraq will certainly polarize some of them against the US. Should we care?

Would I like Saddam to go? Sure. Do I think he's danger to the world and a general wacko? Yep. Do I think the US should attack a sovereign nation, topple the government, and install one more to our liking? I don't know. I do know its not nearly as cut and dry (either way) as most people would like us to think.

Thats my two cents and only cents on the topic.

I agree with pretty much everything Hale said, except about Saddam going. Not to say I like him in the least, but I just not confident killing him would make things any better. If we kill him, not only would it cause instability, but it someone just as bad, if not worse, could take as place, so its possible it would be even worse then before.

Edit: Oh, and something I just remembered: Bush was saying how we can't trade with Cuba cause "They're commies" yet he's had many meetings with the head of China, despite the fact that China is more oppressive then Cuba. Whats up with that? Also, the previous regime in Cuba was more oppresive then the current one, but the previous one made us money and this one doesn't. Thats why we boycott it, despite what they say(Or might even believe these days, but that was the original reason).

Hehe.. well if you destroy the leader, there will be a succesor.. and I guess Saddam's Son puts Saddam to shame when it comes to being "evil".. I was talking with some friends and one told me (he watches news a lot and stuff) that Saddam's Son rapes women for sport.. and then records it so that he can get pleasure from it at a later date also.. Sick and twisted if you ask me.. but look at his dad lol..

*disclaimer* All the views expressed throughout this post are meant to be comedic(although probably not funny at all) and in no way express the views of the expressee(me). I am writing this purely because I am bored and have nothing better to do(sad, I know).

Aerothorn - Bush was saying how we can't trade with Cuba cause "They're commies" yet he's had many meetings with the head of China, despite the fact that China is more oppressive then Cuba.
Simply put, what do we get out of Cuba besides cigars, weed, and cheap, crappy porno? From China, we get Kung Fu!

Slaughter - Jesse Ventura is great

    'nuff said

Slaughter - Anyone see the Daily Show with Jon Stewart yesterday? That proves how dumb our president is
Dude...just stop...Nostradamus was bad enough, but taking your politlcal viewpoints from Jon Stewart? With the exceptions of Craig Kilborn and Rosie, he is the worst talkshow host out there (that I have seen). Besides, those guys have and always will pick on anybody they can make a joke out of(which is pretty much everybody...including themselves).

Aerothorn - I don't know what you mean by decent but I don't consider "not giving a darn about the enviroment" decent.
    Give me a break...

LOL.. good one Jack, I totally deserved the Nostradamus thing.. the Jon Stewart thing however they actually showed Bush saying that.. it was the funniest thing... of course, they made a big deal out of it on the show(which was dumb), but just hearing Bush screw something that easy up was hilarious..

Jackle-Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon came from Thailand, I think. Or somewhere else. But not China. And yes, What I said was poorly phrased, but I could list a million ways in which bush is not decent, his lack of honesty being #1.

No idea where the movie was made, just know it was based in China. Compared to some past presidents...ie Clinton and Nixon...he looks pretty decent to me. Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention. *just a joke* I am not real sure killing Saddam is a good idea...I mean, we all know what would happen if he went to Hell...

Yes, it would be a horribly happy day if Saddam went to hell.. and by happy, I mean gay. Then of course, we always have Cartman to save the world.

No, it's not chinese, trust me. One of my former aides at school worked with the director of the film. The film was based in China, maybe, but wasn't actually filmes there. Forget where. Taiwan or Thailand.
