    Smile Howdy!

    Hi Folks:
I'm just saying hello as the first step in getting to know you folks and possibly playing lots of Battlefield 1942 (ghost recon and Operation flashpoint as well if anyone is interested - I host those for a friend and I once a week, well when my wrists were not killing me like right now).
I'm a father of two boys, one who just started Kindergarten and another who will turn 4 in December. I'm doing my best to turn them into gamers and so far it is working great.
My hobbies include computer wargames, simulations, and first person shooters. I also play Pen and Paper Role Playing games (GURPS mainly, but T2K when I can find players) and board wargames as well.

Finally my alter-ego, Dynaman, comes from a Japanese giant robot show that was translated into english by what must have been the second city TV crew, with such great lines as "Go watch the new WWII movie - you'll like the new ending", and "I did not mean to disfigure my lab assistants, but who really knew about acid in those days."

    Regards
    Paul Blankenshi

Welcome, Dynaman! Check out the BF1942 forum... we're having an open practice this Wednesday night...sort of a kick-off situation to get acquainted and get the ball rolling.

    Thanks!
I got the email for that one and hope to be able to make it, I can't put too much strain on the wrists just yet - the new natural keyboard helps alot though.
I also have to put a munchkin in bed at 8, but I hope to be playing by 8:30 for an hour or so, or at least hanging out kibbitzing.

EDIT - I forgot to say that I am in Central time so the game is starting at 8 for me.
