    Teamsound Trouble...

Im getting this extremely odd occurance with teamsound. the first day i tried it it worked awesome. now every time i try to conect to a server, it locks my system. ive got the latest drivers...
Im completely confused since it worked for the test day.
if anyone else has seen this problem and has any info, I need help. TS is way better than RW IMHO.

    Are you running a firewall?

    Question

Turn off the thing that jacks up the processor priority (I forget what it's called).

    That's what's causing your problem, I'll betcha.

My system locked when I had that turned on and tried to join a server. Every single time. I turned it off, and I was golden.

I had troubles of a different sort...I couldn't hear a thing anyone said. I heard mike clicks once I activated that option, but didn't hear anyone's voice. I've just put up a server (same IP as the RWBS, which will remain active). For the uninformed, that IP is 128.175.61.250...at least until tomorrow. More details on THAT to come. But let's see how it does with a server sitting on a T1.

There's about a million and a half settings to play with. Even seemingly unrelated ones can make the difference between it working a little bit or not at all.

Once you get it going correctly however, it's *sweet*

I'm no techie, but here's my experience:

    1) The web site has very good information. Go there before you start messing with your firewall. I started with the same problem as Beast - others could hear me but I couldn't hear. I changed the setting about TCP/IP, just as they said on the web site, and everything worked.

    2) Reboot after every change. Once I changed my settings, I could hear but not speak. Nothing helped until I rebooted, and then everything was fine.
