    Serious teamspeak issues...

I switched out my sound card and installed an Audigy Gamer.

Problem is that Teamspeak went to hell in a handbasket for me. And I think it is on my end.

When I wasnt actively in a map fighting, the sound was "ok" (not particularly good, but semi useable).

When I was in a map fighting, I could never no one. Chopiness was outrageous.

Any recommendations on sound settings...etc? I know Scott has a similar setup I do.

Its OK.. but I've pretty much accepted that voice communications in gaming is severely overrated just due to the quality. 60% of the time I have no idea what is being said because of "cut outs" or unclear sound. Squidly, Hale and a few others come across OK for me as long as nobody else chimes in... which is part of the problem. We end up having multiple people trying to talk sometimes or at least that's what it sounds like.

George.. I can't remember all my settings but of course voice activation is off, and Im using wav, not direct sound.

My Framerate problems were pretty much neutralized when I switched to the Audigy Gamer and got rid of the SB Live Value card.

I found when I upgraded TS that the process priority switched back from Real Time to Normal (or something like that). I had to reset it to High Priority (different settings in new version).

Everyone may want to double check.

    OK...

    -downloaded latest client
    -set output to wave
    -set priority to high

Hopefully things will get better, because this can be a big problem when it comes to complex maps.

95% of the problems are fixable via tweaks. The other 5 percent is caused by lousy sound cards/mics, and BF1942 memory hog behavior.

The ear phone things go over those cartilagenous things protruding from either side of your head. That thing with the nerf ball on the end goes in front of your mouth.

Speak in a normal tone of voice, and kill enemies.
