    ColorUnhappy AK Server Issues

Well, for all the joy that 1.2 is for the client side, it's done some nasty things to our lovely server stability... It looks as though the server crashes under load. This normally wouldn't be a terrible occurence since the server will automatically restart itself in this instance. However, with the new patch, it seems that the All-Seeing Eye host service is hanging on the way down and never dies. Therefore, there's a ghost BF1942.exe process running in the background and the server never restarts because it thinks it's still up... I proved it this morning by querying and receiving information through ASE while the server was "crashed" and no longer accepting connections. So, if you notice that the server is down, I apologize in advance. It shouldn't be a problem with upcoming matches and such since I know the ole girl can stay up for hours fully loaded without issue. I hope they issue a little hotfix here pretty quick to address this problem since it's evident that I'm not the only person with the issue... Thanks for understanding...

FYI - My wife is at a class tonite, meaning that I have the rugrat. So, I won't be at tonite's practice. Bribo will set the stage. It'll be simple team vs team. Break up evenly, split into 2 teamspeak channels, do up a strat and go at it.

And we will definately be splitting any airpower EVENLY. Last time we did this we had both Zorro and Faxman on the same time. Needless to say the results were a little lop-sided.

Hmmm... we did a practice (Iwo, I believe) where Allies had all the airpower and Axis won over and over again.

Suck it up and die like a man!

Be an excellent time to give some more potential fly boys (not me!) some air time.

What map will we be playing? I wouldn't mind Guadalcanal. It has 6 planes to play with.

i notice a lot of teams pick BattleAxe to play in the games, maybe we should polish that map also, and it has planes, is like a target practice.

I have tried to fly a few times, but i fly really really low i dont get a good angle...

Bocage is another option, try the new 1.2 Bomber "Carpet Run"

The only map that is picked is the tie-breaker map. The first two maps are random generated. I believe the challenger gets to pick the tie-breaker map. I think we should always go the Stalingrad if we do the picking on that one.

Bocage is a good choice. Battleaxe has too many flags to cover with 6 or 7 guys on a side.

I'll be interested to see if Palooka can still dodge bullets.

    Hale,
Palooka never dodges bullets, that's just what we get for being cheap and buying those rubber bullets instead.
