Have any of you tried this yet? I'm currently downloading it (82.6M) as we speak. It won't affect anything for the original game since you have to select it within the game. I'll let you know if it's alright.

You're probably in a gray area as far as TWL is concerned. I'd guess that any mod is frowned upon, unless you have two BF42 executables to pick from?
Alright, I just tried it out. It kicks ass!! We gotta try it on our server sometime though because the few servers that are running are a little laggy. The apache helicopter (yes, helicopter!) is a little hard to use but I'm sure it just takes practice but "strafing" in the air sure makes up for it!
BTW - It doesn't affect the original game since you have to select the mod. Just go to Custom Game and select it. Everyone needs to try it though!
