    Scripting interest?

Since there seems to be some interest in the occasional NWN game, I thought I'd see if anyone would like to devote some time to creating an August Knights Persistant World. I have the beginings of one (Haleburgh ), but to really get anywhere, I'd need 3-5 other people who were interested in doing some NWN scripting.

Most of the scripting right now would be done to spec (ie Tavern, encounter area, etc) since scripting is 90% of the work since the toolset does everything else for you. We could go in two weeks cycles for deliverables, which isn't too demanding.

    Anyone interested?

    Nobody's interested? Shameful.

If you know a little C++, you can be all over NWN scripting in minutes.

I was a computer science major for my very first semester in college. The next semester, I was a business major because I hated my C++ coding class.

That being said, I would give reload NWN and give this a shot. I don't know how much time I'll be able to devote, because both work and school are about to get real busy with the spring semester upon me, but I'll help you as much as I can.

If you are interested, I can show up what I've done to date.

I've been fooling around with adding quests, journal entries and primitive henchmen.

I don't know squat about scripting but I can say that I was inside Hales own build world and I was more them impressed with what he did. Very cool stuff. It's really worth checking out. I honestly thing that Bioware should offer Hale a side job.

    Cool stuff man

Thanks Stitch! 99% of the eye candy comes for free with the NWN toolset. Its all drag and drop. If you have NWN, you have the toolset if you are interested in seeing what you can do without writing any code.

Additionally, all of the code written by Bioware for the offical campain is available for use.

    For scripting, check out http://www.reapers.org/nwn/reference

Its an excellent resource from tutorials to a quick reference.
