Nothing like making a mountain of a molehill, eh? Rest assured, this is not the end of AK. We haven't survived for the past five years by throwing up our hands at the sign of the slightest obstacle. This organizations transcends any single game, and will do so indefinately. People will come and go, as they always have, but people will also hang around, through good times and bad times (not that this even remotely resembles a bad time).

Should I forfeit the match for the man team? If we are dropping I guess it doesn't matter.

I tried to pick up R2R and they were sold out. The Gamestop at the West Manchester Mall sux. I'm off to EB tonight.

I second what Palooka said. AK is not solely a BF1942 team. AK is a gaming organization. The games might change from time to time but AK will endure.

I'm having a great time with R2R, pubbing almost every night. I can see us getting back into TWL once R2R is incorporated and I'll be first in that line.

In the mean time enjoy this John Tesh picture:

I already forfeited the 8v8 match - that's what I was talking about.

I have been a part of a few cs clans and they always break down due to issues of control. That is the one thing I like about AK is that we are a mature group of guys (most of the time anyways) and we are all about having fun. I just hate to see some guys talking about leaving due to a temporary setback such as having to take some time off of the TWL matches due to lack of a server and TWL's rules stopping people from playing with the most up to date versions of the games. I for one am staying put and look forward to pubbing with the guys that are still into having some fun and busting some balls on teamspeak.

We need to get the CS server up, get trained on remotely controlling it, then we can start challenging on that ladder. We've got inspections to do!

If we can get adminmod installed on it I already know the commands for rcon and I can provide a manual that lists all the commands that are most commonly used.

I started up the CS server just now. The name is August Knights Counter-Strike, and the IP is 12.165.52.146. For those who want to admin, post your WON IDs either here or in a private forum, and I will get you set up. Adminmod is installed and working properly, but I still need to get the anti-cheat stuff installed. Also, the server config is compliant with TWL.

I'll post the id this evening in the private forum. We should get on tonite and test this.

I'm up for some testing tonight. I'll post my WON id as well.

Franks&Beans recommends we put the admin mod on found here: http://www.adminmod.org/.
