    Thank our troops, Part II

If I hear one more person mindlessly blathering "I support our troops!!" I'm gonna puke. What the hell's that supposed to mean? You're not supporting anything unless you're actually doing something about it.

I sent $25 to the USO for care packanges. There are many other ways to help than a bumper sticker. (BTW, I'm not ranting at you guys. Had to rant somewhere...)

Personally, if a person wants to say "I support the troops", meaning on a philosophical level that they are behind their efforts, I'm fine with that.

As an aside, our neighborhood is getting together the MOACPs (Mother of all care packages). We're sending toothbrushes, baby wipes (great for clearing dust), and tons of other stuff.

I heard a report on one of the news channels that you need to send items to a specific soldier. Due to 9-11 and the Anthrax mail scares any package not specifically addressed to a particular soldier will simply be discarded.

If you want to send something contact your local recruiting office. They will probably know the best way to get packages over into the hands of our soldiers.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.

Our "Care Package" is going through some larger organization with the juice to get it where it needs to go. I forget the specifics, the details are at home.

I'm sending one to my cousin, Apache Longbow pilot.

I'm sending all sorts of crap, along with things he can pass out to grunts as needed.
