    Linux and dual hard drives

I just purchased a second hard drive for my Window XP box at work with the intention on putting Linux on the new drive and keeping XP on my primary drive.

    Here are my questions:

    1. What boot manger software do you guys like to use? Does XP already have on in it?

    2. How do I install my new drive without XP seeing so I can prepare it for Linux?

    Thanks!
    DD

    1. xp includes a multi-boot function in it. be sure to check around your system's properties to make sure xp won't auto-boot instantly.

    2. xp won't copy itself onto your new hard drive. should be able to prepare it for linux even if xp sees it. heck, i bet it's easier!
