What, no DVD Rom? I highly recommend the Pioneer 16X DVD Rom...the one with the trayless disc input is especially nice. Also, might not be a bad idea to check into a 7200RPM drive with an ATA/100 interface. If I were you, I'd spring for the 256M of RAM. You may not use it right away, but you'll very rarely have to swap to disk and that's ALWAYS a good thing performance-wise. I know I'll be getting 256M in my next system.

Congratulations, in any case. You'll enjoy the system, I'm sure...

    It should run Tribes 2...

Also I was thinking of 256RAM is there any real diffrence between 128 and 256....I've been stuck with 64 for way to long

I've opted to go with the 256 RAM, and I thought about a DVD....why watch a movie on a 19 inch screen, when you can watch it on a larger one?
I know the resolution isn't the same, but I don't think its a huge diffrence.

DVD is not of benefit only because of the movie feature, although it is a nice distraction when you're working at your computer. The real advantage to DVD is that very soon DVD's will be the transport medium of choice for many games. You'll either have 1 DVD or 15 CDs for a game or whatever, much like the transitional period between CDs and floppies. IMHO, it only makes sense to get a DVD instead of a CD Rom drive.

After a littel shopping around, and talking to a computer friend of mine I've decided on a new machine. Althow the MHz are a littel lower, I still think its great.

PIII 933 (Yes I went for Intell instead of AMD)
Full Tower @ 250W with extra vent fans
    52X CD-rom
    12XR/4RW/32XR CD-RW
    40 Gig 7200RPM
Microsoft internet keybord (Its a bit cheaper)
    256 SDRAM -PC 133
    Logitech wheelman mouse
    19" Flat Screen
    Creative Annihilator 2 Ultra 64Megs
    Soundblaster Live-Value
    motherbord, USB...ect.
    ---
After realizeing I had more then $2800 to spend on a computer I went for the full blown gameing rig
I went for the 933 because, well it's on sale at a computer store and I didn't want to go too far over 3 grand from a computer.
Full tower for more airflow and extra vents to keep the heat down.
52X just to squease that last drop of speed out...but no DVD, I'll buy a DVD when the CD-rom is outdated, but till then.
    256RAM : Drool :
I went for the wheelman instead of the intellmouse because I had both of them in my hand and, well the Wheelman fits better.
The Annihilator is a nice video card to have....its not the Readion (sp?) but I'm not paying 600 bucks for a readoion.
And last the 19" flat screen.....
I saw the 19" in the store, and holy CRAP!! it was the niceist monitor I ever saw! I just had to have it, I wanted to touch it but the sign told me not to
    Totals around $3300 Canadian.

I'll have it in about 2 weeks
