I probably won't be able to play tonight anyways so this is moot, but in the future can you try and refrain from using the server on Thursday nights for practices? Thursday nights are one of the few nights I have a somewhat consistent time to game and I'd like to play on our server without resorting to pubs. I know originally we had voted to keep Thursdays open for 'free play' for those who didn't have interest in organized play and Wednesdays for the organized practices.

We won't do this very often, Hylander. We've got a scrim on Sunday on a map we haven't seen in an organized practice yet. I'd bring up my server, but I haven't been able to make the remote admin tool work with it successfully yet. Most weeks, practice will be confined to Wednesday only.

Pubbing to me means playing on a public server, like EAs or some other with no controls. On the [AK] server, we have control. IE - It's not pubbing.

I have to side with Hylander with this one. I know this is a one-time practice, but there are some folks who just like to get on and play for the fun of it. Thursday was set aside for that, specifically as a non-practice day.
However, this is just a one-time thing, Hylander. I don't think the regular practice night is moving. We just need the server tonight to practice the second map for Sunday's scrim.

We're definitely all on the same side. This is a one-time short-notice deal, and the only reason we need to use the AK pub server is because I haven't figured out yet how to enable the use of the admin tool on my own "practice" server. Once I get that figured out, we can practice there whenever we need to. As far as tonight goes, we'll keep it short--if we even end up locking the server. If we have a very small turnout, we can leave it unlocked, switch the map to Essen, load up a side with AKers, and work our strategy the best we can against the pubbers.
