    BF-1942 slow PC response

When I press the esc button in BF-1942 there's a very long (20 second) delay until I get to the main screen. Someone said that this can probably fixed by changing some memory settings. I'm not sure what to do or how to do that though, anybody have some good starting ideas for me?

system memory will have an effect on performance with Esc and Alt+tab, 512MB is the min but 768 or 1GB is recommended.

That's just it, I'm running 768. One of the chips was a self installed add-on that I just dropped in. I'm wondering if there's something else I ought to do...

BF1942 is a resource pig, just off the top of my head you could try to defrag your OS drive and if BF is installed on a nother drive defrag it as well.

You need 1 Gig at a minimum.
