In most games (like 1942 for example) I cannot get back to the desktop by pressing the Windows key or CTRL-ESC. I can get a task bar to appear at the bottom of the screen but I can't get the game to minimize to it as it should.
Any ideas?

Hmm, I just hit Alt-Tab.
I've never even actually used the Windows key. I've always kinda wondered what it was for... but I've been afraid.

ALT-TAB no workie. Just gives me theWindows task bar at the bottom but does not minimize the game.
