I've been wondering for a long time. Enquiring minds want to know...

Perhaps a short blurb for the website?

Also, the chat link is broken. In fact, I can't recall anyone ever using it. Perhaps it should be removed?
    Hasta,

    Today's Fun Facts

When Moon and I started the group in February of '98, we were playing Interstate '76, a car combat game. Hot August Nights (this link goes to a site I used to do a lot of programming for, by the way) is a world-famous classic car event in Reno. The rest is history.

It's been a long time, but I believe our first inductee was a Canadian kid named abnormaL. Next was Abaddon, followed by Widowmaker and Zorro, respectively (I think).

I had a feeling that’s what it was Palooka. That’s pretty much how I figured out the server had to be in Reno..

Anyways, Hot August Knights is a city wide event that happens every year here in Reno. Usually the first week of August and is normally the hottest days of the year here.

Its one of the worlds largest classic car show and shines for cars and hot rods from the 50's and 60's.

Reno is crazy during this week long event...

Indeed, it's best just to stay home. The real fun is trying to avoid running over crazy Harley riders during Street Vibrations. A couple of them get killed every year.

Thanks for the factoid. I always thought it was from this definition of the word "august".

    Merriam-Webster:

    1. Inspiring awe or admiration; majestic: the august presence of the monarch. See Synonyms at grand.

That seems to fit pretty well.

Now Street Vibrations is cool. At least the girls for that wear bikinis (usually leather) and not pink pokidotted skirts with poodles stitched to them!

I have to say though, usually durring Street Vibrations I do what I can not to work the clubs that week (Never works out but I try). It sure does tone up you fighting skills. Drunk Bikers who love to start shit is allllways fun to handle.. Last year was pretty rough.

(This one is for Palooka) S. V. is I swear a freaking city holiday for the Sun Valley scum. I always say if you could sell cheap dental insurance, you would make a freaking killing that week lol
