Stop talkin' and start layin' down some freakin' cover with that thing.

You M-60 pretty boys are always more interested in posing than shooting the damn thing.

But it's heavy, and it's a great conversation piece. It's sort of the like the only ball on the playground and whenever we get to take it from someone else, it provokes a indescribable feeling of joy. Kidd and JD can agree with me on this one.

Think so? Try carring that and 200 rounds on a 12 mile road march and see how much joy you have.

    Nice pic Nuts

I'm afraid I have to agree with Choozoo on this one. You figure when we were training and doing our force marches through whatever terrain we were training in, I only had to carry my M-16 and 9mm. Well those two things are pretty light, but when you are carrying everything you need to survive for a couple of weeks in the field, and ammo which is REALLY heavy, all of those things start to add up. There were times I was carrying close to a hundred pounds on my body. That may not seem like much, but that was over half my body weight, and after 20 miles, you were dying pretty bad....

The guys that carried the M-60's and Mortars really had it bad. Other guys would carry the bases and stuff, but it was still a heavy load to carry!!!

    BTW, really cool picture NUTS!!!!

I only love the M-60 in the virtual world. I'd be way too much of a Sally to carry it in the real world. I'm just a Yoga guy, the only thing I carry is my rug and bottle of water.

I pulled AG duty on a 2 week FTX. I thought it was really cool, until I had to "hump the Hog". Not to mention the extra ammo, stand, and barrell. Even lighting up the enemy on an ambush didn't make up for the long days of grief. Battle buddy my a$$. Cleaning the bastard is no fun either. to cool the barrell we would spray it with oil. burnt oil is awfully hard to polish off blued steel. I agree with Stitch in that the virtual M 60 Rocks. I also like the re-loadable LAW.
