    Nice servers

Having played a decent amount of time on your servers, I must compliment you guys on the rules and thier enforcement, its been enjoyable....

    Until tonight..

When i hadnt said a single word all night long.. was out kicking some tail for the NVA on game warden.. and was abrubtly banned from your server....

Id like to know why first off..

and secondly, what if anything can I do to get it removed?

You can look at your logs or whatever, I'd played 3 maps.. zero TKs all night long, and was giving excellent cover and support in taking flags.. I was not cussing chopper whoring or anything that people frown upon, as I frown upon them as well and they simply are not my style..

I would return to your servers in the future if unbanned, otherwise, been nice playing against yall...

I recall seeing you on the AK BF:V server tonight. I know that a ban was issued for another guy while you were on... it is possible that the ban was placed on the wrong user. I'm not sure what it takes to undo a ban (anyone out there know how to do it on this version of BF Manager?) We may need your Punkbuster keyhash. Check back on this post in a day or two, I'm sure that one of the other members can hook you up. We certainly appreciate good players and we look forward to seeing you back on the server soon. Sorry for the mess-up.

No prob, i was pretty sure it was a mistake or accident.. thats why i reg'd and came in here to ask, as I wasnt going to go spouting off or come in here to bash. Theres always a right way and wrong way to deal with things.. maybe other people will see this and instead of blowing up, they might get something done beyond provide more spam and mind numbing entertainment from ensuing flamefests lol..

I'll check back in, and be hanging around till I can get back in.. you guys have pretty much become 1 of 3 servers I'll spend time on.. otherwise, the rest are full of the rambos and a total lack of rules & enforcement..

    Thanks again...

I banned you tonight because your name was invisible in-game. You apparently had special characters in front and back of it that were making it not show up in-game. I consider that to be cheating. It's not something I have much patience with.

On the (TAB) player menu, there was a blank space where your name would have been ... but it showed up in the remote admin we use to administer the server.

Another AK member on at the same time also observed it.

I cleared your name off the banlist, since you came here to ask about it. Please do not play with an invisible name.

Interesting. I saw it once and just thought it was a goof on my end.

George Bush - be sure to check for special characters. No sure you are aware that you're name is being hidden. Of course, if you are aware then I'm sure we'll just re-ban you. Thanks,

I am aware it bugs out, i wasnt aware it was frowned upon however, as the reason for my doing it, is to keep my name unique...

    BF track Vietnam- George Bush

So i can easily track myself on bftracks.. its recommended and they tell you how to do it on thier site to keep your name unique.. an unfortunate side effect is 'sometimes' when in a multi person vehicle... if you are the driver.. your name disapears for other people inside the vehicle on its seating listing subscreen..

Ive been told future versions of BFV will fix the name invisibility bug, while still allowing the hidden characters for tracking purposes..

If you guys have a problem with my reasons or simply still will not allow my name as it is, lemme know.. I guess i'll either change it or something.. I'd rather not have to leave your servers over something trivial like this

Does your name show up in gameplay ... that is, do your tags show?

I booted you based on the fact that your name showed blank in the player list. Sounds like your name may show in game, but not on the scoreboard or on vehicle lists. If that's the case, I would be fine with it. My concern is that an invisible tag gives an unfair competitive advantage.

Yes, it shows in gameplay, floating over my head 100% of the time it should.. (based on server tag settings) But Ive had a buddy on ventrillo verify it for me, because of that exact reason.. it is always there above my head, whether you are friendly or foe.. it simply bugs on score and vehicle occupancy screens occasionaly..

When we originally realised it bugged on those screens is when we tested the nametags in game and found them to always be there..

Believe me.. I drove nascar games for ages.. near a decade.. Im no cheater, wont associate with them and actually turn in any cheats i find so they can be busted out..
Im all about having a good fun experience whether I suck or not.. rather then ruining other peoples time..

Then your name is cool with me ... apologies for the misunderstanding.

I like Harleys ... but I have never been able to afford one. I've had a Yamaha TZR250 two-stroke crotch rocket, a Yamaha 850SE, and a Honda Hawk. I gave up motorcycles about three years ago, after I walked away from my third street wreck with no injuries. I figured my luck was up. That was up in Truckee, CA ... where there's often a steep drop off the shoulder of the road. I have not had a bike since moving back to Texas.

I still have my helmet and jacket, but that's about it :-)

lol, man, back on hawaii I was Spyder.. then when Ten came around i renamed to Darksiede.. which is still the name I race under to this day.. Your name doesnt ring a bell, but between my narcolepsy, insomnia and alzhiemers I dont remember much lol..

I skipped the online side of nascar 3 & 4, as well as 2002 season.. before coming back with 2003 season.. so chances are, if ya knew me on hawaii/early ten.. you done forgot me.. I still played them, just couldnt get online out in the boondocks of southeast kansas back in those days.. dialup couldnt even support 1200bps from as far out as I used to live... line quality was just that bad, so I didnt even bother

Also ran on MCO back in its day, as Woodreson @ CCA if any of yall were there :P

Yeah, you wouldn't under Hylander as I never used that name. I always race under "PA-Scott" on Hawaii/TEN and also OLR. I raced N2 extensively (more than I care to admit) but I hated N3 with a passion. Didn't do much with N4, and then more with NR2002 and NR2003. I did most of my league racing in OSCAR and SAS (Southern All Stars).. although I did race in SCORL a little and FASCAR on OLR.

I use to run PowerSims, and did alot of writing for Blackhole Motorsports, High Gear, GameSpy, and SportPlanet. I'm still on staff at The Pits, but haven't really done much in a year or two in terms of sim racing outside the occasional online racing.

Oh Man, I recognize PA-Scott... I vaguely remember racing you on N2.. but thats been a long time ago lol.. As far as the pits goes.. man I love thier touring mod.. once they came out with it, I basically left the nascar side of the game. excluding my once a week truck league I run with some buds from New England.. Otherwise, Ive been spending time doing it T/A style just about everywhere.. I was a huge contributor when Spam had his setup site up.. as well Ive done a few templates for the US pits cars that are hosted on the Team Tundra website.. I sorta burned out on the whole racing thing about 2 months ago though.. unbolted my wheel from my desk for the first time in almost 2 years.. set it aside.. and found a copy of BFV.. and Tiger Woods 2004.. which are the 2 games Ive been spending my 'offseason' in.. lol

    Cool!

I know the burned out feeling. I have a Logitech MOMO Force and a set of ECCI pedals and they more often than not have dust on them.

BTW... I can tell you the Pits is not done with the TA mod yet. Vector Damage is coming soon and a few other items are being worked on. There are also some new 'mods' being discussed and in early development that you may like if you like the TA Mod.

But don't worry, as soon as we announce it I'm sure Project Wildfire will claim be doing the same thing.
