During the 1990s, Zarqawi trained under bin Laden in Afghanistan. After the fall of the Taliban, he fled to northwestern Iraq and worked with poisons for use in potential attacks, officials say.

During the summer of 2002, he underwent nasal surgery at a Baghdad hospital, officials say. They mistakenly originally thought, however, that Zarqawi had his leg amputated due to an injury.

In late 2002, officials say, Zarqawi began establishing sleeper cells in Baghdad and acquiring weapons from Iraqi intelligence officials.

So not only have we found evidence of WMDs in the past month (mustard gas and sarin gas), but now we confirm a pre-invasion link between Al Queda and the Saddam regime.

Who would have thunk it?

That's old news that Bush-haters refuse to acknowledge.

Here's the barn-burning article by Stephen F. Hayes that blew the lid off the Iraq-al Qaeda connections way back in November. Not surprisingly, the mainstream media largely ignored it.

It doesn't matter what evidence is exposed, the Bush-haters will continue to insist that Bush lied about everything. A gallon of sarin in a 155mm shell (enough to kill roughly 3000 people, according to experts) and the finding of mustard gas (not to mention the 5000 Kurds in Halabja who were killed in one day in 1998 by Saddam's aerial gas attacks) is not enough to convince them that Saddam had any weapons of mass destruction, and when US forces find more, which they will according to Saddam's former scientists, it still won't phase them. Likewise, the volumes of evidence that the CIA has compiled to prove that Saddam and bin Laden were cooperating is not enough to convince them that the two had any relations, whatsoever. Facts and logic don't matter; their only concern is defeating Bush and regaining power. They are blinded by hatred and rage, and they will continue to spew the same tired conspiracy theories and factually-unsupported talking points no matter how completely the Bush administration is vindicated by further developments in Iraq.
