    News Sources

Living in San Francisco, I find that the news is very liberal in their dissemination and reporating on world events. I'm sure it happens elsewhere but in the Bay Area it's done at such an alarming rate that the daily news is sickening to my ears. Thanks for Palooka for giving me the link to Oh! That Liberal Media and whoever provided the link for Mens News Daily. When added to my other online news sources I can finally start getting a broader picture and make my own decisions of what's going on in the world.

For example: Everyone (which is how it is reported in San Francisco) wants the U.N. to be more involved in Iraq. Here's an interesting story about the wild drug orgies that U.N. Peacekeeping missions turn in to. U.N. missions painted as booze-soaked orgies.

Or course I don't believe everything I read but by having the access to numerous articles and not having my news censored by the mainstream and liberal media (and yes, it's liberal... even they report back that they are liberal) I find that my opinions on world events are more balanced than that of my co-workers.

Please feel free to post your favorite news-related (blog or official) websites in this post.

Some of the standard ones for me: (besides the two listed above)
    Drudge Report
Portal of Evil News (possible NSFW)
    FARK (possible NSFW)
    Federation of American Scientists
    AP News
    The Christian Science Monitor
    Townhall

    Instapundit - Essential reading.
    Belmont Club
USS Clueless - Not always political, but always riveting. Read the archives.

I agree with Leo, for humorous insight I recommend a daily read over at www.lileks.com. Check out the Daily Bleat. Then make a pot of coffee, sit back and explore the site. However, be prepared - it'll make you wet your pants.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
