Frickin' Frackin' Frickin' MAP EDITOR!!!

Ok, so I've spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out how to put a vehicle station on a map. I can't figure it out - I can't find any documentation to help, either. I keep running into the same problems.
1. The "Vehicle Inventory" spins you around AWAY from the display when you setup into it.
2. EVERY vehicle explodes upon creation.
...damnit!
maybe its a bug... sounds very strange...
