    Palooka...

Can I have my old Hylander name back now? I'm tired of the side effects of being [AK]Chirac. For example.. every time somebody says my name I pull my handkerchief out of my pocket and waive it in the air.

I hereby submit my unconditional surrender.

    [AK]Chirac

I do have to say the Chirac thing is one of the funnier AK moments I've encountered...

    (Private to Hylander/Chirac )

Did you happen to catch the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix this weekend? It was one of the most amazing displays of Balls Of Steel, Brains Of Oatmeal I've ever seen.

These guys were racing motorcycles at 210 mph side-by-side, on slicks, IN THE RAIN!

I was absolutely mushmouthed and spellbound at the display of supreme skill and insanity. There must have been a hundred lead changes in that race. I'm still shaking my head thinking about it.

No, I didn't see it. I'm not the worlds biggest motorcycle racing fan to be honest, but I did watch an American 250 Moto race a couple of weekends ago on SPEED and it was alot of fun to watch.

To me, as much as I hate to admit it, motorcycle road racing is the most insane and entertaining speed-fix out there.

I happened to be in Phoenix a few years ago for the AMA Superbikes and I must say that, as insane as they look on television, it pales in comparison to seeing them in real life. If the speed and skill is impressive on the tele, in real life it's positively mind-warping...

Don't get me wrong, I don't underestimate that form of racing in the least.

I kind of like you as Chirac... It goes with Haggis...

I certainly wouldn't get you wrong. (Okay, maybe sometimes... )

I'm just thinking that you would really appreciate the competition. I urge you to check your televison listings for MotoGP on SPEED. It's truly breathtaking. Besides, all of the best riders in the world have graduated to there and it's a thing to behold, seeing those guys go toe-to-toe.

Fearless and insane, tempered with even more insanity...

(Can I say "insane" any more without being disbarred or excommunicated? )

Just last night on Speed they had TT 2004 on. It's the first time I had seen motorcycles with side cars racing in a long, long time. They were hitting about 150 coming down that really long stretch of the track. It's pretty wild watching the "passenger" (sorry, I don't know the proper terminology) switching his weight around and adjusting his position for aerodynamics as needed.

I was just watching the beginning of Le Mans this morning and I swear I saw Chirac on the side of the track trying to surrender! I wonder if he was trying to surrender to Colin McRae.

The GTS class is extremely competitive right now with the 2 Ferrari and 2 Corvettes running nose to tail.

    Go Ron Fellows!

And of course right after I post this Fellows drives it into the tire barrier.

At least the other Corvette currently driven by Gavin is leading the GTS division.
