I'm always a bit amused by the wives of guys like this. She get's married to a guy she thought was pretty normal, and next thing you know he's digging foxholes in the back yard and hiding out with weapons (and his laptop). It's not like she has much a justification to run off - I mean it's not like he's being abusive or cheating or whatnot, but damn - this can't have been on the knight-in-shinning-armor checklist.
