Headphones - High Tech Noise Reduction

Apparently we now have headphones with a built in microphone and processor that emites negative sin-wave noise of the exact frequency of local noise. It thus negates background noise of your local environment - so you can enjoy your tunes in perfect quiet. Particularly useful for airplane traffic. [Nuts, I expect you to be all over this one!] We live in the age of miracles and wonder.

I see that they range from $35 for Wal-mart units up to about $200 for Bose. A lot of units are priced around $70. I'd like a compact set that I can travel with. I haven't a clue what's good, what's bad, and what the difference between good and bad is for this topic - anyone with experience out there?

I'm a headphone user myself, and the hard part is not necessarily finding good headphones (as I love my Kenwood KPM-610s), but finding a good set with a built in mic. I currently use Plaintronics .Audio 90s and they are pretty decent.

I'm still waiting to see how some of these newer surround sound headsets work - but I'd like to have a wireless set like these Panasonics. .



I also heard good things about these.

Then of course, there are the Zalmans
