Just a follow up to this and another Hard Drive Deal. I did some research on that WD drive and it seems to have a slightly higher than normal failure rate.
But I took some comp time and left the office a little early today (didn't feel like being there <G>) and purchased a 160GB 7200RPM 8mb Cache Maxtor Ultra 133 IDE Drive from Staples for $99.00. No mail in rebates to hassle with.
I needed to replace the 40gig "Archive" drive on my main rig since it was stuffed to the last MB and I have about 5 gigs of items to back-up yet in my "Items needing to be organized" file in My Documents folder.
