SP2 now on my main game Machine, So far, so good, but the issue I have seen on all PC's I have put sp2 on, is that it doesn;t reboot correctly the first time. I have to turnoff system and reboot to complete installation...

Well I took the plunge tonight and loaded SP2 on my primary system and my WinXP FTP server.

So far no real problems to speak of. Rebooted without a problem, did a defrag, and started up a bunch of applications. Set permissions, etc.

The only "problem" I've encountered so far is my Norton Anti-Virus 2002 doesn't get monitored. I've downloaded everything off from live update but it doesn't work. 2004 works fine on my primary system though.

Had the same issue with AV2003, but everything is still running great.

Yeah, let me reiterate that AV2002 IS working just fine, but it's not being monitored is all. Not a big deal.

I probably have a spare license for 2004 sitting around here somewhere so I should probably install that anyways.

    Good article Fight.
SP2 has been fine on my machine. It just twitches every now and then but that's about it.

I had LOTS of problems with SP2 on my last motherboard - an MSI board with a VIA PT880 chipset. It would cause random reboots while browsing the Internet. I used the downloaded network install of SP2 on that machine.

When I built my new system the other night, I updated to SP2 immediately using Windows Update. So far, no problems at all. It's running smooth.
