On FNC, I saw Bush inform the crowd in Wisconsin that Clinton had been hospitalized. After he stated that Clinton "is in our hearts and prayers," there were no boos. In fact, the crowd met Bush's well-wishing with resounding applause and cheers. Having seen that, I was dumbfounded to find the above AP story. After a successful RNC, which has given Bush a sizeable bounce (he is now ahead of Kerry by about 11 points, thanks in no small part to Nader, according to Time), I think the mainstream media is simply desperate to nail Bush on something. Anything. Even if untrue.
