Hmm, i think this one may have some potential! Looks like it may be tons of fun. Does anyone know what game engine it uses offhand?

As much as i like The galactic conqest mod concept for BF1942 all it ends up being is a lot of hard work put into a game engine that needs updating. This Star Wars battlefront looks to far exceed quality and content wise.

Interesting that there extracting from the BF1942 mod gameplay wise.

Totally hooked on Tribes and pretty sure itl be my main squeeze but ill definately be taking Battlefront for a spin. Cant wait for some more inf.

I'll be a skeptic on this one. Lucas cured me of my Star Wars fascination with his last two movies ... and I'm always a bit leery of games that rely on a movie franchise to draw players.

I'll be grabbing it and the DVD of the original trilogy at the same time. I've actually seen a few TV ad spots for this game--apparently it'll be on PS2 and XBox as well. (Figures--the only PC-only game I can remember seeing advertised on TV is the Law and Order games--appropriately enough, while I was watching Law and Order reruns.)
