A friend of mine asked me to fix his sick PC. It had many adaware viruses on it. I took his hardrive out and removed them with Adaware and Norton Anti Virus. I have to use a boot disk to get me to the command prompt. What do I need to type at the command prompt to get WIN ME to start? WIN does not work.
And yes, I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

are you inside the c:\windows directory when you type win? and did you try typing win.exe?
WindowsME is an evil os..... lol
From C:\WINDOWS I've tried typing both win and win.exe. I get the following message: CDR101 Not ready reading drive E. I don't have the WinME disk. Do you have to have the disk to start WinME? I thought it would just run from the HD.
