PC problem

I had somethign go crazy on my pc. The sound all of a sudden went out and something is eating up my processes. Cant find anything this antivirus. System restore didnt fix anything. Dont know what to do..Anyone heard of such a thing or what I can do to fix it?

nothing unusual but all the system and admin names are missing so I cant tell whats what. I went ahead and reinstalled windows..lost a few things I didn want to loose though...oh well...wierd thing that happened

I would've run a spyware check before doing a complete re-install.

Well, I did run Ad-aware and Spybiy S&D. Nothing unusual came up...I deleted all it came up with but still the same stuff. Wel, the new install has SP2 on here too now.
