The mod is now available on File Planet. It's an incremental release, so don't uninstall .7.

    Talking

WOO! I'm playing it now... nice new maps. very nice
    Not many servers.
BTW: You can still play .7 anytime. .8(final) is a seperate install but you must have .7 installed to play it.

    Review so far:
New ambient news (jets flying overhead, etc)
New explosions - bigger and more flames
    New gun noises
    Stinger APC for iraqi
    New skins for armor

    Maps:
Coastal Hammer- Iraqi have uncap island flag and must cross the sea to attack us flags onshore. No aircraft

Cornered - 2 towns divided by river. Bridges are crucial. Some open area for tank battle. No choppers

DustBowl - Tank battle! 2 choppers each. All tank, bmps, arty, etc.

Bridge - infantry fighting in a city

First Light - Big Open desert fighting with tanks, arty , c130, fighters, choppers, etc

Twin Rivers - Um.. wow. Grassy fields. Tanks, choppers, planes. Very cool Mosque

Lost Village Nopara - No chutes. No stingers. More bushes in the hills.

Played it a bit this morning and i was impressed with the fun factor. Loads of new maps and plenty of new sounds etc breathe new life into the DC saga for sure.

    Thumbs up!

Played it a bit today. It's DC. Different weapon effects, some new sounds. A few new vehicles and changes to some existing ones. New maps. More evolutionary than revolutionary. If you aren't already bored with Battlefield, you'll probably like it.

I take it that the new DC is out. How is it and do you think gamespy or File Planet will have it on their server?

The sound is all about the wood and the pickups. Bartolini all the time...

I downloaded it a couple days ago and it works great. I have been in it off and on. I do not see many servers running it. I am sure server population will grow soon and also not as many maps. Can't wait for some of the custom maps to be rolled out should be nice.

I've been playing a fair amount of time on the =CDU= altered maps server, they throw in plenty of choppers in most of the maps, which makes Katana one happy blade (and very bloody to boot, much to the annoyance of the opposing team..)

    Thumbs up

I'm loving it! We need to get the whole team together on these maps!
And yes, I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night!
