    Performance Tuning Question- Windows Optimization

It seems my computer has two uses.
    1) "Normal" use - E-mail, browsings, Word, Excel, etc..
    2) Gameing.

For 1, I need to have many things running like printer spools, anti-virus, etc. But for gameing (2), I really don't need all that. Is there a script or some other handy way I program a button into windows to turn those features all on or off?

    Hi Clay,

You can create custom hardware profiles in Windows XP. Here's a good guide to XP services.

And here is a guide to creating a batch file that will free up services for gaming.

This is exactly what I wanted! Thank Ab. I'll post my Netstop.bat and Netstart.bat files shortly, if anyone wants them.
