    Team and Sponsors

    As you know, the store that I frequent (and frequently work for) invited me to play on their team this year. It's going to be a 5 man squad, and it's heavily sponsored. System-X is doing jerseys, pants, gloves, knee and arm pads, and sliding shorts, JT is doing the masks, and we've decided to take Smart Part's offer and go with them. I'll be getting a "Shocker" (with all the goodies of the pro-level guns...eyes, "cheater board" etc.) Tourney paint is paid for. Practice paint we get at cost.

    Team name is GXP (Generaton X Paintball), and the primary color of all the stuff is red. Not too bad a deal...

    It's starting to warm up...my first practice is scheduled for mid/late April. We should think about setting a date soon to get out there and play.

    NICE! I can't wait to get back out there now that the weather's getting nice. I spent all that moolah on my BKO and accessories and haven't had a chance to try it out yet (outside my basement "firing range").

    The "Cheater" board has a feature that ramps up the fps to 310 for the first 30 shots so you can reach the guys in the back off the break.

    Those pros are tricky that way. :P

    Why would companies throw so much money into sponsoring a paintball team?
    Do they get that much publicity that they make up the money that they invest in the team?

    BTW, I think they invited an old guy like you because they are an equal oppotunity gamer...
