What does "Wi-Fi Ready" mean? Does it have WiFi built right in?

"Ready" means you can buy add-on stuff and plug it in and it's "ready" to accept it and make it work.

The only question I have is will it be backwards compatible with current x-box games?

The PS2 is backwards compatible with PS games, the PS3 will be backwards compatible with PS2 games. I would hope that the new xbox will also be backwards compatible but I haven't seen that anywhere.

Backwards compatible might be hard. Since they are using an ATI chipset in the 360 instead of the nVidia that was in the main Xbox. Microsoft said they are working on proper emulation.

I believe ATi was in the first Xbox.. beating Nvidia out at the last minute.. of course I could have that backwards..

From what I was hearing it was supposed to be.

The Nintendo Gamecube has a ATI chipset. ATI was the one that was supposed to be in the Xbox, but nVidia won the low bid Plus i've modded almost a dozen Xbox's and they have all had nVidia cores.
