Thinking About an ATI Video Card

I am looking at Video cards to upgrade from my FX5200 series by Nvidia but alot of people told me the ATI Radon series is what I should aim for but they are prety exspinsive. I could use some sugestion on this matter. So any help would be apreciated.

A GeForce 6600GT by Nvidia is a good option in terms of cost vs. performance. It will whip any of the 9XXX series cards, and will probably cost less. You'll need to be sure to get the AGP version.

I never considered going with Nvidia again but will look into it.
