Talking BF:2 Tonight? (Friday, August 5th)

I got a special waiver from the wife tonight and have been authorized to play Battlefield. Please tell me that I won't be alone. Who wants to join in?

I may be able to play some tonight, but I won't know until later. I'll be in my office late tonight (7PM) so I won't be home until a little after 8PM. If I'm on it probably won't be until 9PM - 10PM though.

Proof positive it is a weekend... Beast is out drinking.

C'mon down, Hy! You could make the trip in an hour or less.

I'm not much of a drinker.. I've probably had the equivalent of 6 bottles of beer (or any alcohol for that matter) over the last 10 years since I've been out of college. Not that that would ever prevent me from hanging out and drinking one with friends.

Unfortunately, "we" have plans for the weekend which involve the much beloved yard work category. Musikfest starts this week, are you guys coming up at all for that? I mean, how could you pass up not catching Donna Summer, REO Speedwagon, or Clay Aiken? Have you guys hit the Bethlehem Brew Works and their microbrewery yet?

I usually try to avoid Musikfest when its ungodly hot because me, 95 degrees, pure humidity, and crowds = extreme increases in my blood pressure, temper and impulses to get in a 3 point stance and make my own path. Although I did make 2 trips down last year. I don't mind it as much as I use to as I use to live right in the middle of it in the historic district and the parking disaster for 10 days, people throwing garbage in your yard, etc

Of course, I thoroughly enjoy the week when I get to put on 10lbs of funnel cakes, Seasoned Steamed Corn, and German Strudels! (None for you Stitch!!)

I will be able to get on probably around 9ish.

The sound is all about the wood and the pickups. Bartolini all the time...

Bethlehem Brew Works is a great place. Neat atmosphere, good food, and some adventurous beers (such as hazlenut porter). They have a really interesting Belgian beer lounge in the basement as well.
Musikfest is great fun, but I won't be able to make it this time around. My wife and I will be in town for the Celtic Classic next month, so maybe we can grab a plate of haggis.

The Steelgaarden is the Belgian lounge in the basement. I was there not too long ago for "Taste of Downtown Bethlehem". They had alot of Gourmet / Natural Organic FiFi food but its a cool place to lounge around.

Celtic Fest... Maybe throw a telephone pole or two over our shoulders.

Stop whining about thread hijacks or I'll decapitate you GTA style.

Tried joining, but nobody was responding on Ventrillo.

More seriously, I find BF 2 to be extremely unstable on my computer. My machine completely locks up between 1 and 15 minutes into the game. I'm using a ATI 9800 pro video card.

Sorry clay. I got in about 2 hours and played some with Disco. Then it was time for dinner and now a little Sci-Fi Friday's to wrap up the night.
