    Read any good books lately?

The snowstorm where I am today has shown me how woefully I have neglected my library of late. I need to replenish my stash, so I wondered what you guys are reading right now or if you have a favorite off the wall recommendation. I read just about anything that is printed from nonfiction to fluff and am pretty voracious when it comes to books so the more recommendations the better.

Some of my recent (within the past year or two) favorites:

Between Silk and Cyanide Leo Marks (no this is not a cheezy murder it is a memoir of the head of English CODE MAKER in WWII)

The Genome in 23 chapters Matt Ridley

An Instance at the Fingerpost Iain Pears (This is historical mystery stuff but interesting because of the technical writing style rather than the story)

The Harry Potter Books (Hey everyone needs candy once and a while)

I may have allready put this up in a earlier post. I'm sure Squidly or Nuts would call me out on that one.
City of the Dead - Brian Keene
Red Dragon - Thomas Harris (for like the 20th time)
The Stand - Steven King (3rd Time through)
    Rainbow Six - Tom Clancy

The River of Doubt : Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey by Candice Millard. Any amazing and true story about Theodore Roosevelts last big journey in search of adventure deep in the Amazon rain forest. Great book.

My latest fiction recommendation is the new Stephen King, "Cell". A must-read if you're a fan of King or a fan of George Romero, or any other zombie movies, for that matter.

I just finished Stephen Ambrose's "The Wild Blue", a historical account of the pilots and crews of B-24s in the European theater of WWII. One of my favorite historical periods and one of my favorite historical authors (for those who don't know, Ambrose's most famous work is "Band of Brothers".)

Reading two books currently. The autobiography of Gene Simmons called KISS and Makeup my life in and outside of KISS. Also reading a book about the greatest promoter that ever lived Bill Graham. He was a San Francisco promoter that worked with The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin to name a couple.

The sound is all about the wood and the pickups. Bartolini all the time...
