Spec Forces - Getting Better and Better

I played a bit last night after being in the WOW queue forever. I played SpecForces and was on a map I hadn't done before. Aircraft Carrier. Bad guys have to overtake a U.S. Carrier. You fight through the galley, engine room, passageways, hangers, flight deck, boat deck, etc... It's a lot like DC Sea Rigs but without the stingers. Damn fine map and great fun!

I play alot on the Comcast Ranked Servers... I ping at about 17.

I hated that map when I first played it.. but now I enjoy it. I'm in game as [AK]Hylander and I'll look for you on the Comcast Servers. I only play maybe 1 or 2 nights a week... but I might be on this weekend.

Hello everyone.

By now, you have all seen the list of fixes in the next update (1.2). We are still trying to nail down a few final items and put the final touches in place.

Here is a list of additional items to look for in version 1.2:

* UAVs are now visible in the world so if you are being scanned, you can know about it and take action against it.
* Rank progression is no longer limited to the enlisted ranks. All officer ranks are now available.
* Bug that allowed players in vehicles to contest a flag from outside the flag radius is now fixed.


I'd also like to take this opportunity to clarify some confusion stemming from our updates.

The first item is on the topic of grenades. Player will still be able to toss grenades while jumping. Although the ability to fire while jumping has been removed, players will still be able to initiate a grenade toss prior to jumping and follow through with the toss, thereby gaining themselves some extra distance. We understand that there will be some adjustment in tactics required when the patch comes out but we are confident that the community will quickly come to grips with the new tactics.

The second item is on the topic of the booster packs. We have not created the maps as a separate expansion pack requiring a separate server. The booster packs will increase the content of the base game and thereby may be run on a server in regular rotation with the original maps.

Just learned that if you don't have SF, you can have a friend that does have it, play your account for a few minutes to give you SF weapon unlocks. You can use SF Weapon unlocks in vanilla BF. W00T

So... if anyone wants the weps without the $$$, let me know and I'll play SF for you so you get the unlocks.

You've always been able to use the arrow keys (that's how I use my M$ Strategic Commander). It's the num pad you can't remap controls to.

nadda... and due to EA's stupid business model, it may just fall to the way side... less than 100 ranked servers have SF. However, remeber PoE for BF:V? It's coming along nicely and should be ready for prime time soon.

FC and I play SF exclusively. No stupid planes ruling everything... good fun with the zip line and hook.
