    Simple Web Page Authoring Guides

Hi there fellows, maybe you can help me out. I'm looking for a simple guide on how to author a webpage. I don't want a book. Just something that can get me started in a few minutes.

    The reason I ask:

Specifically, I plan on uploading images to tinypic.com, then make a simple webpage that takes up very little space on my personal site. The hope is that when a user goes to the webpage, the large images download into the page from tinypic. Hopefully this can be done.

I'm going to make the next installment of my Mid-East site visit pictures and the way I did it for the first installment didn't seem work so good, so I'm going to try it this way this time.

    htmlgoodies
    w3schools

For actual uploading not sure what rest of the guys like, but I use smartFTP:
    smart FTP

It works really well for me, plus it's free

a little how to upload your website:

I hope some of this helps, most of the Knights know how to do this much better then I do, but if you need help just email or PM me.

This isn't a "guide" per se, but a handy little cheatsheet that I use when I'm writing or changing HTML content.

HTML Goodies is a great site, if you're looking for a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" editor/developer you should consider using dreamweaver as long as you dont care how atrocious the code looks (it has a habit of adding some unnecessary clutter to the site code, it doesnt carry over into the page itself during viewing, just one of those OCD things some people have). If you're looking to learn HTML yourself, Id stick with using Notepad and HTMLGoodies.

Talk to me in game, and I could get you a copy of Dreamweaver Studio I have backed up It comes with Flash, Fireworks and a whole bunch of other tools as well

For photo storage (and blogging about photos) it's hard to beat Flickr.com.

You can also set permissions to only allow friends/family to see certain photos, as well as upload photos via email or your cell phone.

Unless you have a burning interest in learning html of course.
