Part of me is wondering if EA/Dice were planning 2142 the whole time and just tried to capitalize on the popularity of DC with their 'not ready for prime time' BF2 engine when they released BF2.

I love the concept and can't wait to see if it's 1/2 as good as the teasers.

To me, it seems like a little of Planetside with a little Tribes 2 and some Battlefield series all mixed into one. I always thought Mech Warrior fell short of what they could have been if they embraced more multiplayer range.

I'm very intrigued by this. I'll probably be checking it out when it hits the shelves. I can't wait to try out those mechs.
