    Armored Fury

It's supposed to be out, but most of EA's website is down and the EA Downloader is down as well. Crappy EA.

After a few install and download glitches, the reviews are coming in. So far folks are reporting that this is the best one yet. Everything is nicely balanced. I'll download and play tonight!

Please post some after-action reports. I'm interested in what ya guys think of the pack.

    AF Review

    Sorry for the late response.

Armored fury (once they fix the problems introduced in the 1.3 patch) is a great booster. It only introduces three new maps (boooo). but if you like to see 4 tanks, three APCS, and 2 buggies roaring across farm land all in unison... meeting up with a similar armored force... AF is for you.

Road Rage: Airpower can wreck havoc on the armor, so strong pilots and smart AA will help keep the enemy in check. AT kits rule the highway overpass, so go supply and rake up the re-supply points helping your team mates. Lots of hardcore chopper and and A-10/Frogfoot pilots so snipers can have fun. Of course the littlebirds have team radar so if you see one, be carefull... he's alerting all of his team where you are at. Personally, I like Engineer. AT Mines can help defend the flags and the repair points come fast.

Harvest: One of my favorites. Big open fields for tank battles. Definetly go with Engineer to keep your tank alive. A good commander is needed to help give you the advantage (Radar Scan / UAV). Lots of flags mean that small 3-man teams can jump in a buggy and just go flag hopping, staying far away from anything with tracks.

Midnight sun: Too damn dark. I could pass on this one as it is too similar to another BF map (I don't remember the name... but basically flags stradling a river). However, defending bridges can be fun, so I go engineer on this one as well.

New things: The big rig is fun to drive if only for the horn. The Plymouth duster is pretty quick. Little birds are great against infantry (zero against armor) but they are not as fast as BF DC little birds. A10/Frogfoot... I'm no pilot, so go bug someone else.

Bugs: I crash to desktop once a day, right after I join my first server... then I'm stable until the next day. Servers are randomly crashing and EA is working on it.

I like it but it needs more maps.

Thanks for the scoop, I'll probably pick it up after the next patch or when I need some cool down time from WoW..
