If I'm not sniping, I keep my BF2 audio turned down a bit so that I can hear vent. Only when I'm sniping and I need to hear footsteps do I worry about the sound.

Funniest moment for me was the long distance snipe of Faxman (from one island to the next) on the Wake map.
You must have had to lob that shot like a football.

Not so much, actually. I was on the island with the artillery. You were jitterbugging around like a jackrabbit, so I was pretty suprised that I actually connected.

The best snipe is with the .50 as you can shoot pilots right out of the seat. It's a great camping game... sit by the enemies helo pad and wait for the chopper whores to jump in and you just sit back and plink them in the head. W00T!

FINALLY got my Logitech Wingman Extreme Digiatl 3D joystick configured. What a pain in the arse. Very, very sensitive. BF2 did not recognize it automatically so I had to go in and update all the controls myself. For some reason it was always pulling to the left. Went in again and configured and it seems to be working fine now. </shrug>

At least I'll be able to fly straight now.

I have the same problem with my Logitech Freedom joystick. It always seems to pull to the left and I'm not sure how to go in and reconfigure it.

Make sure that you click each box and then specify the right cooresponding joystick movement. Several of mine were backwards. I had to try reconfiguring it several times before it finally worked. Also, I ditched the USB connector and the Logitech software and hooked it directly to the game port on my sound card. I also re-calibrated it through Windows and not the Logitech software.

I was able to map my Logitech Attack3 very easily--something I wasn't able to do prior to 1.3 (or at least 1.22). Look for me raining death from above (or crash-landing into trees and mountain sides until I get the hang of it.)
