POE is ready for Prime Time

The downloads are ready now but they will be password protected until Saturday, at that time you can go to their website to get the password. They are doing this to give certain clans and players a chance to get in before the rush and try things out.

So on Saturday, get ready for POE on BF2!!!

(Note: download is a rar that contains the bittorrent link... then you'll use your favorite bt to download the file. of course you won't be able to unzip it until Saturday, but at least you'll be ready)

Nice addition:
-Dome of Doom – Each main base that is un-captureable has a radius around it that will kill players from the other team in anything but a plane. So helicopters, tanks, jeeps, and infantry need to stay out of that radius or be punished via loss of health at a rapid pace. (This is a server side option)

W00T, classic DC mobile artillery is back... the command wheel has an 'artillery needed' so that players can request arty, and then the arty guy gets a view of the field, just like the old binocs that snipers had in DC

Take a look at all the maps... sweet! I may cancel my trip and stay home and play!

Yeah, I haven't been keeping our unranked BF2 server up. I'm out of the office till Tuesday but I'll work on getting PoE installed and up when I return.

I'm installing this and the 1.4 patch right now--I'll be on giving it a try some tonight if anyone wants to hop on Vent with me. If everyone grabs this, maybe we can give it a go as a group on Wednesday.

Very well-done mod; professional quality with an intro movie and everything. Had a lot of fun playing a couple of maps last night, but only about two servers showed up in my browser--is that normal? (I should clarify--two non-full populated servers running PoE.)

Make sure that "ranked" is turned off and uncheck all the map sizes (that way you get all) I usually have a large number of servers available.
"Seattle T3" and "AOD" have been pretty good for me.


"Fallen" is a great infrantry map.
