well, I was trying to get a head start on the wood splitting for the winter. I had on a pair of military issue leather gloves, and the wood was wet. So after picking up wet wood, the gloves got wet. So I was getting ready to split another piece, and the maul slipped out of my top hand.....and went right into my lower leg. At first, I thought I just scraped it, then I looked and realized I had better pull the maul out of my leg. It went in about a half inch, so it was a pretty big, wide gash. So i spent the rest of the day on the couch. so that wasn't so bad

FC--only 6 staples, it was a clean insertion
