Just picked up CoH tonight. I'll play as a diversion between my races.

Awesome. Looks like we've got enough people for some large scale battles...

I was playing the single player through a little this weekend, and I finally won a 1000 point skirmish at normal difficult. I think this is a great game, but I'm finding it hard to learn all the little things such as wear you can place and build items, etc.

Although I found if you take enough resources early, go Air tree, wait until you get bombing capabilty, then take some squads over to their base you can just bomb all their production into the stone age and it's pretty easy to win after that. Probably not a strategy that works often, but it seemed to against the Computer on "normal".

I usually play as the Axis in multiplayer skirmishes. A proven defense against air power is the 88 flak gun (available on the defense tech tree). The 88 will knock planes out of the air, and can punch holes in allied armor with ease. I also use Ostwind Panzers to round out my air defense, since they can shoot paratroopers out of the sky.

Yeah, I figured in multiplayer with real people it wouldn't work. I'd like to get on one night with you guys. I think 2 on 2 would be alot of fun.

Fax and I usually play Monday and Wednesday nights--usually 8:30-9:00 till about 10:30-11:00-ish. I'm probably going to miss tonight as the Giants were the night game last night (and you can cram any Super Bowl Shuffle jokes )--therefore I need an early bedtime tonight and to make up all the other stuff I didn't get done. But I'll definitely be around for Wednesday.

For the record, I usually play the Allies, and lose close ones to Fax. When I take a crack at Axis, it's sheer and utter pwnage.

Figures... I have races on both nights. I have league events to run on Mon, Wed, Thur nights.

Tues, Fridays and weekends are generally best obviously. If you happen to be around one of those nights, let me know.
