American Idol: Starvation for Sanjaya

I was reading through the news when I came across the story about how there was an underground movement to get the worst singer possible to win American Idol. I thought it was kind of funny then when I dug a little further I started to laugh and laugh. I have not been able to stop laughing. Some of the people that take a TV show so serious it is hillarious. You have to check out some of these sites. My wife watches the show (hence, I watch it) ever since Carrie Underwood made it. She's hoping it'll be an avenue for other great singers... but I think that that the Carrie Underwoods and Kelly Clarksons are the exception and the show is just a big joke. I'm all for folks rigging the votes by getting the biggest loser pushed into the finals. It's TV for crying out loud... more people are interested in it than the Presidential Elections.

I take great pride in the fact that I've never watched a show where someone gets voted out. Well, except the presidential election coverage every four years.

I hope the series get cancelled. They have to always schedule my other shows around American Idol. American Idol is so boring. I just wish that William Hung got as far as Sanjaya. I have a feeling that the results will probably be fixed or doctored even next week to where Sanjaya will be voted off when in reality he was probably removed by the producers. I doubt they will even show their hand. They will probably say that he was voted off. Simon has ultimate control, it is after all his show and what he says goes.

I watch American Idol the first week it is on. Mainly for the comedic value. This year was not as good. No William Hungs. Very disappointing. Next week should be very interestin. I still won't watch. Catch the details in the paper.
