There were a lot of holes in the begining. It was kind of like who what where and when. When they brought it back in mid season they started filling in a lot of the plot holes. Heck the Season finale showed one of the key characters being killed. Almost as if Tony Soprano had been killed. The plot twists and turns with the wind are just what makes it so compelling. Again this did not really happen for me until it returned in Mid-Season. Squidly had made some really good points in his post.

Not bad coming from a fish that is a good apitizer dish that is best served fried with a nice sweet and sour sauce lol.

The sound is all about the wood and the pickups. Bartolini all the time...

The town is running out of power but the cop/mayor refuses to shut down the bar? The guy at the gas station is worried about his big city boss getting upset and won't give the gas to help out? C'mon. And the whole conspiracy theory thing... I didn't want another 'Lost'.

They should scrap World War Z as a movie and make it a TV series.
I agreed with everything there except for the part about Lost. I think that is exactly what we need, because one Lost just isn't enough, especially since the future seasons are gonna be shorter.

Either you're overly critical, don't give things a chance to develop, or just don't know good television...
You shouldn't have to go to a freaking website to fill in plot holes.

What kind of nonsense is that?

    The writing was 'wonderful'?

In the first 5 episodes we had 5 different emergencies which had nothing to do with the fact that a Nuke has apparently gone off. We've got a mayor in a on again off again power play with his wife, his son, and a would be election opponent. We've got a greedy grocer. We've got a bag-boy in love with an girl who thinks he's too un-hip to love. We've got a mysterious cia/military/police/secret agent guy new to town, keeping secrets from both his family and his neighbors. We've got dueling bandits making grabs for food. We've got town BBQs and medical emergencies, heart attacks, emergency air fan repair. We've got intertwined love triangles.
To hell with all that, we gotta save those books burning in that thar Library!!!

    Jeezus.

Good writers know pacing. They don't take 42 events and jam them down your throat in 4-5 episodes. They've mastered the art of exposition.

    These guys haven't.

And as far as acting, Skeet Ulrich can't act his way out of a paper bag.

The dismissive "you don't know good television" is funny. I can just as easily say "no, you don't."

    So yeah, whatever.

Its entertainment, depending who you ask, some folks like it some folks dont like it.

Personally, I doubt ill ever watch it, I could care less if it ever airs again, but reading all these post crack me up so keep em coming.

PS. I watched some Tribute reels of Jeriwhatever on youtube. If those were the best of the best, then yeah I think they made a good call pulling it.

Oh, and just in case anybody didn't know, CBS did pick the show up for at least 7 more episodes next year. I would have been fine with it gone, but I am happy with any show that isn't a reality/game show.

Its all based on opinion, in the end.

Wouldn't you expect a lot of chaos and un-organization after a nuke went off a couple hundred miles away? I sure would. I would expect a lot of stuff to be going on and I think the writers did an excellent job capturing that.

The website was an addition to the show, as Bassis said they filled in a lot of your "plot holes" in the second half of the season. If you were part of the website it would have started filling "them" in prior to that. Personally I've always found "plot holes" to end up being a part of every show as they're going to want an audience to stick around to figure everything out... you can't have everything handed to you on a silver platter like a stupid reality show.

Jericho, in the end, was a very intelligent show... it was meant for intelligent people that have the patience to stick it out and see what happens. If you don't have the patience to stick it out, then the show is ultimately not going to be for you.

Stop.. please - just - stop. You are going down a one way road the wrong way again all while yelling at the people going the other way. Yes, I watch alot of BAD, BORING, SLOW shows for a whole season waiting for it to "get better" if I just "stick it out". Whether you liked the show or not is irrelevant at this point because your 'logic' in your argument is just nonsense.

Now as far as Squidly not knowing good television... well, he does watch Survivor and Lost so I can't totally disagree with that statement.

Survivor was good for its first, maybe second, season... everything besides that is repeat garbage. American Idol is the same way, I don't know how people can watch that drivel.

    ...

    Jericho is a serial.

American Idol is a reality show.

They do not equate as being remotely similar in any way. A titmouse could understand American Idol and probably like it, much like most of the american population. We are a society of dumbing things down and as long as it doesn't take much brain power to understand its probably gonna do well on television.

More the reason to not turn on the TV to begin with. I have all but given up on television all together. Unless its on Discovery or The Military channel Blehh.

Even better idea......Pick up a book instead

Truth, I'm a fan of Modern Marvels on the History channel. When I do watch TV its either news, history channel, or a movie (I get into a show every now and then.. usually record it on the DVR and watch it later, though).

That's it, I'm too stupid to understand the need to run into a salt mine and blow the entrance, sealing myself in. Never mind the fact that anyone coming to save me would have to dig through fallout laced soil to get to me.

I'm too dumb to recognize the nuance involved in holding keggers at my house while my mother's nuked body rots in a field somewhere. Worrying obsessively about what the other cheerleaders think of my romantic choices.

I can't grasp the tender sensibilities that leads a town to hold a BBQ party when they should be rationing food. It's all about togetherness.

The country has been nuked, but rather than spending time on that, we have a million other sub-plots to occupy our time. But I'm too dim to recognize the value of analyzing a powerplay in small town mayoral politics.

    Thanks. I are an idiot.

Lost is a great show, period. No apologies forthcoming from me on that one.

I watch Survivor as a way to spend some time in the same room with my spouse - at least part of the week.

The laptop computer is out and in use during that show.

I didn't mean to imply that you're stupid. I was more implying that you have no patience.
